Launched in October last year by former Fespa Event directors Frazer Chesterman and Marcus Timson, Ecoprint 2012 will make its debut in Berlin on 26-27 September.
According to Chesterman, backing from Integraf signals the widening appeal of the event to include the commercial print sector.
He said: "We have been pleasantly surprised by the level of interest from across the print spectrum in EcoPrint. To gain Intergraf's support is exciting given its respected place in the commercial print industry as this also indicates that the issue of sustainability is not confined only one part of the print market.
"Clearly, sustainability is a significant issue for the entire print industry and EcoPrint will be the forum for the forming of a new event community focusing [on that] issue."
In its role as a pan-European professional print trade organisation, Intergraf has been working on sustainability for some time.
Secretary general Beatrice Klose said: "It is logical for Intergraf to become a supporting association for EcoPrint 2012, as we have, for many years, been providing advice, solutions and now practical tools for our members to successfully adopt sustainability within their companies. EcoPrint is both a unique and inspiring prospect for Intergraf and we are delighted to be part of it."
