The more industrial IS600HSK model offers speeds of up to 150m/min and resolutions of 300x600dpi or full 600dpi, and is commercially available at a recommended retail price of £47,000 for the 216mm model.
The IS1200K offers speeds if 80m/min at 1,200dpi and is still at the beta test stage. Inkjet Solutions is using Ipex to find a beta partner, reporting three or four “serious enquiries” at the show to date.
“The show’s been great for this because the footfall is 50% UK companies, so it’s a great way for us to get in front of the right companies,” said managing director John Richardson.
Explaining how Inkjet Solutions hoped the beta relationship would work, Richardson said: “We want to build a system that starts with black and white versioning but is capable of expanding to colour. We’ll be installing brackets ready for this expansion into colour.
He added: “Anyone who installs that system will be six to 12 months ahead of the game.”
Both the IS600HSK and IS1200K systems are suitable for inline use on narrow- and mid-web presses but can also be used for offline converting, web inspection and direct mail equipment.
The printheads use Kyocera and ceramic nozzle plate technology.
