The manufacturer's 5000 GP machine can now handle an expanded range of coated, heavyweight and lightweight stocks due to the addition of a higher capacity dryer option.
According to InfoPrint, this broadens the range of applications possible on the machines, while the option is planned for other ranges in the future.
The company has also unveiled ink measurement tools integrated into its InfoPrint ProcessDirector software. It is claimed that these produce quick and accurate ink estimates during the job costing stage while capturing the actual ink usage once the job is complete.
In addition, InfoPrint has extended the reach of its 5000 MP (multipurpose) platform. Originally launched as a smaller-footprint monochrome member of the InfoPrint 5000 family to complement existing full-colour models, the MP can now also print in full colour.
Theresa Lang, UK managing director of InfoPrint Solutions, said: "We work very closely with customers to provide the technology, functions and tools required to meet their evolving needs.
"These innovations continue to bring customers the high quality, reliability and flexibility they expect from the InfoPrint 5000 product family."
