Industry experts to hold free advice seminars at Total Print! Expo

Visitors to this year's Total Print! Expo are being offered the opportunity to hear free advice from some of the print industry's top experts in a series of short seminars.

Eight 30-minute Spotlight Seminars will be held for the first two days across the three-day exhibition, which runs from 14-16 October at Earls Court 2 in London.

The seminars, which are being hosted by PrintWeek sister titles Printing World and PrintBuyer, will feature a host of top industry players informing and advising on topical issues.

On the first day (14 October), the Printing World seminars will focus on issues relating to printers, followed, on 15 October, by the PrintBuyer presentations exploring current opportunities and challenges for print buyers.

John Charnock, group director of technical services at St Ives, will give a 10.30am presentation entitled Print Room Essentials on 14 October that will look at the 'must-have' components for printers.

Also that day, W2P Ltd's Peter Lancaster will host a pre-lunch seminar called Adding Value By E-enabling Your Business, that will discuss the benefits of variable data printing, large-format and on-demand printing.

In the afternoon, printers will receive advice on how to better their green credentials from Wastecare director Peter Hunt, who will talk about best practice guidelines in his Lean Green And Interesting seminar.

Finally on 14 October, Mellow Colour owner Alan Dresch, will discuss colour management and standards in his seminar: Get That Red Right – First Time.

The final four PrintBuyer seminars will be held on 15 October and feature Daniel Cross, director of strategy at Lateral Group, talking about corporate ID and asset management in his Protect Your Brand morning seminar.

Andy Psarianos, director of FE Burman, and Ghent PDF Workgroup evangelist, will give advice on how to create perfect files and minimise errors in his pre-lunch seminar: Save Time and Money – Get Those Files Right First Time.

After lunch the chief executive of Pensord Press, Tony Jones, will present Just How Green Is Your Business? and will clarify the various environmental accreditations and discuss current green issues.

The final seminar on 15 October is being hosted by Printing World and PrintBuyer editor Alison Carter: Get Creative. In this presentation, she will discuss proactive and creative ways to keep print interesting and boost marketing campaigns.

Total Print! Expo organiser IIR Exhibitions is expecting a high demand and recommends advanced online booking for all seminars at www.totalprintexpo.com/spotlight.
