HP sells 1000th LX machine at Fespa Digital

HP has made a landmark sale at Fespa - sealing a deal at the show for the 1,000th LX range machine to come off the production line.

Swedish point-of-sale and retail graphics specialist Ackert signed for a HP Scitex LX800 model on Thursday (26 May). It will be the company's first HP machine.

"We want to increase our production volumes and this is a good machine because of the variety of materials it can print onto," said sales manager Claes Larson. "The two-roll option is also very good for us, and we are impressed with the latex technology results and the environmentally-friendly aspect of it."

The 3.2m wide printer will be installed in a fortnight's time at the Gothenburg-based business.

HP plans to fit a commemorative plaque to the unit, which is also the 500th model of this type to be sold in the EAMER region.
