The German print giant will be showcasing a range of kit at the show – from its small footprint jobbing printer, the Printmaster QM 46, to its workhorse Speedmaster XL 75 B2 press.
Also on display will be the short-run focused Speedmaster 52 Anicolor, which the company claimed offers 40% shorter makereadies and 90% less waste than traditional sheetfed offset presses.
All presses will be running with the Heidelberg Prinect front end software.
Marcel Kiessling, president of Heidelberg Americas, said that the Print 09 event was about showing printers how to do more for less.
"In today's market, printers have to be lean and mean and the [Speedmaster XL] 75 and 105 are good examples of highly productive presses," he said.
"In addition, the Prinect software and colour management reduces makeready and waste; we want to use the show to point to our productivity and build confidence in the market."
Kiessling said that confidence appeared to be returning to the North American print market and that the show may coincide with the start of the recovery.
"Many marketers will have to move soon to capitalise on the vital holiday season and I hope that comes together before Print 09," he added.
Print 09 is due to take place on 11-16 September, in Chicago, US.
