Graphics Works, whose clients are UK-based, said it would invest in machinery in all areas, including post-press and digital, so as to attract more customers.
At the same time it will look to increase the number of employees in all departments. The move would not interfere with work, the company said, but would improve efficiency, output and aid further growth and expansion.
The company’s investment plan is the result of growth "across the board", according to production director Peter Barham.
Recent equipment purchases have already increased capacity at Graphics Works, which specialises in exhibition work and digital wallpaper. The company now has five roll feeds and one flatbed printer.
It purchased a Mimaki JV33 solvent printer in early February and a Canon iPF 8000S large-format printer in October 2010, both supplied by Robert Horne.
Barham said: "This investment has allowed us to grow our business and output. All the printers run 24/7, providing a huge capacity, high returns and minimal downturn.
"Initially we weren’t looking at Mimaki as our first choice of printer, but we were so impressed by the print and build quality, and the white ink capability."
The company has invested more than £100,000 on 11 machines sourced from Robert Horne in the past four years.
