The German company has implemented a range of environmental procedures at its paper mill over the years. It said customers could now use the logo to prove the environmental standards of products.
In 2008, the business installed a photovoltaic plant, as well as a steam energy system.
To produce fine paper, FSC-certified Gmund said it uses "solely environmentally friendly and sustainable raw materials", and its water purification system has reduced water consumption "significantly" over the past few years.
Gmund also has an internal waste elimination programme, which has cut waste by 82% over the past 10 years.
Its new eco logo can be used on stationery, brochures, cards, mailings and homepages.
