Vikas Gulati, director operations at Galaxy, said: "The new CTP has complemented our battery of presses that includes a five-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster SM 74 press with coater and a Ryobi four-colour 924.
The firm opted for the Heidelberg CTP for better and optimal synchronisation with the Heidelberg SM 74 via the CIP4 connectivity.
"We are outputting around 3,000 Heidelberg’s Saphira Chemfree plates per month. We have achieved a desired level of job confidentiality, which was not possible earlier with outsourced work," added Gulati.
Deepak Walia, manager sales, Heidelberg India, said: "The Suprasetter 105 is calibrated with the press via Instant Gate, a Prinect feature. The CTP is combined with a preset link and press reporting mechanism.
In the absence of an operator, the CTP can be accessed and controlled from the console of the press.
Galaxy is readying to move towards Prinect integration with pre-press and press."
The machine offers excellent quality, maximum production with flexibility in throughput, format, plate handling and punching.
A convenient integration in the Prinect workflow with a selection of AM and FM screenings or plate on demand, gives a direct access to plate production at the control panel of the press, said Gulati.
The company with an annual turnover of Rs 18-crore is housed in a 20,000 sqft facility in Nariana industrial area of New Delhi and has a staff of 150 persons. Galaxy uses 750 MT of paper per annum and exclusively uses Imperial inks and Saphira plates
