The Zenith 660 is designed for packaging applications and the Daygraphica Durazone5200 for high speed sheetfed applications.
Flint Group marketing director Peter Baird said: "What we’ve done is taken technology from web blankets that we’ve been using for some time and applied it to sheetfed blankets,"
The Daygraphica5200 uses the company’s own Durazone compressible layer technology, which had previously only been used in high speed web blankets. "The technology has proven to work very well," added Baird.
Both offset blankets resist smashes and gauge loss, which Flint Group said will maximise press life. The manufacturer said these products are more robust, have quick release characteristics and provide better dot quality.
"As press technology advances, the sheetfed press speeds are increasing all the time and so traditional technology doesn’t always necessarily give the best results," said Baird.
Transfer media product management director Bob Mosedale said: "Before we took the final decision to introduce these blankets to our customers, we carried out detailed comparative benchmarking, and we are now very confident that these latest additions to our Print Media portfolio will help win substantial new business for us".
"It’s just a continuous improvement of our product range and maybe a more focused approach to the different sectors, recognising their needs," added Baird.
