"All these features are aimed at helping printers to grow their businesses," said Fespa head of events and new media Duncan MacOwan.
New elements include Creative Corner, The Print Inspiration Runway and the Promotional Products Business Academy. Features that make a return include Print Shop Live!, the Wrap Cup Masters and the Hall of Fame.
Creative Corner is aimed at agencies, brand owners and designers with the intention to showcase what print is capable of doing and to illustrate the return on investment (ROI).
The Print Inspiration Runway builds on the Big Bucks Café concept at Fespa Digital, Barcelona last year.
"It is open for anyone in the Fespa family, whether printers or suppliers to showcase the very best of what our community can do in a wide range of print applications, including direct mail and industrial print in addition to wide-format," said MacOwan. "It will also highlight routes visitors can follow at the show to find out more about how to reproduce the applications on show."
The Promotional Products Business Academy is a new feature run in conjunction with French organisation CTCO to show the potential for personalising and branding promotional products such as memory sticks, pens and clothing.
While previous events have featured a conference stream Fespa has brought the Jet Set conference onto the show floor. The series of nine half-day seminars will include digital textile printing, screen printing, digital developments, including workflow and colour management and sustainability.
