It will cover approximately 12,000sqm and will include workshops, seminars and live demonstrations on fabric printing for decorative clothing and promotional products.
Michael Ryan, Fespa exhibition manager, said this year’s exhibition would include "hands-on seminars on screen printing and direct to garment printing, transfers, embroidery, rhinestones, sublimation and digital textile printing".
"It’s not just T-shirt printing anymore – we now include other types of decorative garments like footwear and bags," he added.
Exhibitors will include textile press manufacturer M&R, and carousel screen print manufacturers MHM, Vastex and S Roque. Kornit, Brother and Anajet will demonstrate direct to garment (DTG) digital printing and CTCO will showcase its promotional products and blank apparel.
The exhibition will also include demonstrations on dye sublimation, where Ryan said progress was being made in developing more comfortable polyester-based garments.
Charlie Taublieb, screen printing consultant and president of Taublieb Consulting will hold seminars on screen printing.
"He’ll be printing in four colours, on dark and white fabrics and creating special effects. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced expert, Charlie will be able to bring you to the next level," Ryan said.
Fespa will launch an online competition to print an airline themed T-shirt, in January and the winner will be announced at Fespa 2013.
"The judges will be looking for the most innovative and creative use of any decorative technique," Ryan said.
