The Dolcelicious food contact-approved paper range was previously shown by James Cropper at last year’s Luxe Pack trade show in Monaco but this is its first UK showing and it will be available for purchase exclusively from Fenner from after the show, which takes place at Wasps Arena, Coventry, on 8 and 9 March.
Dolcelicious is suitable for contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs. It is available in 11 colours and meets a number of ISO standards. All papers in the range are FSC certified.
“As far as I’m aware this is the only luxury direct food-contact paper,” said Fenner paper marketing director Justin Hobson.
“From our point of view it’s a departure because it’s the first luxury food-contact paper in the market. Our business is increasingly developing towards luxury packaging and with it this seems an ideal product for us to have in our portfolio.”
James Cropper UK sales director Nick Shepherd said he believed Dolcelicious to be in “fantastic hands” with 20-staff Fenner.
Fenner, which stocks a wide range of speciality papers and boards, will be showing a range of products at the show, a large number of which are produced at Reflex Paper’s mill in Germany, including Zanders Zeta.
“Being the first show put on by PrintWeek was obviously going to attract the sort of audience that we want to reach and in this day and age of online, exhibitions are more important now to actually meet customers face-to-face,” said Hobson.
“In many ways we are a slightly under-the-radar paper supplier. We haven’t got a particularly high profile so this is a show where people might discover some interesting materials that they didn’t actually know existed.”
