Fedrigoni's Pergamenata Bianco paper used to create city lamp

Fedrigoni's 230gsm white Pergamenata Bianco paper has been used to create the Italian artist Natascha Madeiski's 'Naked City lamp'.

The lamp is the result of a partnership with architect Alex Graef and is said to reflect the themes of the city.

A spokeswoman for the paper company said: "The suggestion of translucence from this absolutely environmentally friendly paper, which is made using pure ECF cellulose with FSC certification is an ideal source of inspiration for artists and creatives.

"With its usual antique connotation and typical cloudy finish imitating natural parchments, Pergamenata is the ideal choice for making those very special publications, art prints and diplomas, but also some far less predictable objects like this highly unusual lamp by Natascha and Alex."

The Naked City lamp will be presented to the public at the Rossana Orlandi gallery, Milan, as part of the city's international furniture fair, the Milan Salone Del Mobile.

Madeiski is an Italian-born artist but she now lives and lectures in Lincolnshire.
