The Grand SU has seven variable ink settings, ranging from 8-25 picolitres, in addition to the standard 12 picolitre drop.
"This is the first time in the world that this variable dot technology has been available on a 3.2m machine," claimed Safek Aydogan, Eurotech-printers’ international sales director. "For fabrics, you can use smaller dots, then for banners you can increase the size – it gives you great flexibility."
The press is sold either as a €120,000, 80m2-per-hour entry-level version with an inbuilt fixation unit; or as a €200,000, 150m2-per-hour "production" machine with a separate fixation unit. Both come with an Ergosoft RIP.
The company claimed the Grand SU offered ink savings of 30%-40% and the machine had a lower price tag than rivals without sacrificing quality.
