Among a number of sales, Hein Verpackungen, a packaging company in Traunfeld, Germany, has invested in a complete, digital Rho 1000 cartonboard and corrugated system from Durst.
The system runs fully automatically around the clock from pallet to pallet and comprises the Rho 1000 2.5m-wide UV printing system, a sheet feeder, registration table, unloading table and stacker. It operates at up to 500sqm per hour.
As a full service provider, Hein includes in its portfolio point-of-sale displays made of corrugated board that are cut to shape, assembled and even filled with goods, if required.
The company wants to use the new system to bolster its position as a specialist for digitally printed displays made of corrugated board and cardboard, both in its Bavaria homeland and across Germany.
However, Michael Lackner, Durst’s director of marketing and sales, has every reason to be happy about other transactions as well. For example, Bauernfeind, a corrugated board processor based in Germany and Austria, and the well-known German screen printing company Iffland, both ordered wide-format production printing systems.
Lackner is particularly proud of the business with Dutch large-format printing specialist Probo Sign, which bought not one but two digital systems at the trade fair.
