London Calling Rocks, held at the British Music Experience area in The 02, Greenwich, will see Duplo’s first ever A4 landscape saddle stitching system, the DBMi Duetto.
The DBMi Duetto will become commercially available immediately after the show, along with the DC-645i, a collaboration between Duplo’s 645 and 745 multi-finishing systems.
Duplo international marketing manager Andy Pike said: "Since the launch of the DC-745, our development team did a lot of research on which features of the new model we could add to the DC-645 to improve it rather than discontinuing the range.
"We have tested the DC-645i on almost every printer system and it really is a good machine."
The DC-645i has a new feeding system and creasing matrix, which offers a better depth of crease to reduce cracking once the sheets enters the folding stage. It runs at the same 26spm speed as the DC-645.
Duplo is also showing its Digital System 2200 along with the digital sheet feeder DSF-2200, which is capable of feeding A4 sheets into the new bookletmaker and Duplo’s other binding systems.
According to the manufacturer the DSF-2200 is 30% faster than its predecessor, the DSF-2000, and can produce up to 2,850 two-page booklets an hour depending on the bookletmaker it is attached to.
Both machines were launched at Drupa and are being shown in the UK for the first time. Pike has dubbed the event a "digital relaunch".
Peter Jolly, who was recently appointed as Duplo UK managing director, said: "At Drupa, we showed some exciting future developments in our digital range. London Calling will be the first time to see a number of these products in the UK.
"The new DSF-2200 sheet feeder that will be shown on both our entry level DBM-120 bookletmaker, as well as our top of the range DBMi saddle system, will allow our customers to finish digitally printed A4 landscape booklets for the first time."
Esko, Fujifilm, Vpress and Balreed will also be at the event, along with Fastback, Duplo’s latest partner, which will be binding books on its Fastback 20 in collaboration with a Balreed digital printer.
Exhibitor Eurofold will also be showing its new CP-375 multi-perforator/crease, capable of producing up to four stop-start perforations per sheet.
Jolly added: "Unlike previous London Calling events, this year sees the addition of some of the industry’s leading pre-press and digital print suppliers, enabling our visitors to see the full spectrum of the digital print production process, taking print from web to finish."
