The Verwood, Dorset-based business is installing the production system today (27 February), replacing an outgoing Xerox 4127 machine in the process.
Sitting in between the manufacturer's 100 and 144 models, the mono Xerox Nuvera 120 EA, can print at speeds up to 120ppm at resolutions up to 4,800 x 600dpi.
Robert Jupp, managing director of Digital Printed Image, said the new machine would enable the four-staff business to cater for burgeoning demand from its blue-chip clients.
"We were really pushing our 4127 to its limits so the addition of the 120 EA gives us that room to expand," he said.
Jupp said the company's growing core customer base, financial businesses demanding training manuals and reports, catalysed the latest investment.
He said: "The Nuvera 120 EA complements our existing Xerox 700 and if things go to plan, we will invest in another 120 engine later this year.
"We’ve invested a large amount in recent years on bringing production in-house and we're finally getting to where we want to be."
In June 2011, the company cut a "major" bottleneck in its bindery after installing a Horizon HT30 robotic trimmer.
The machine runs alongside a BQ270 perfect binder enabling the department to cater for its high digital print output
