The business, which was established in 2009 by Helen Sharland and her husband Dominic, is described by Helen Sharland as “a quality LED laser cutting service with a wealth of experience in cutting and finishing”.
The business uses an array of laser cutters from Trotec and Universal as well as a Motioncutter, which was installed last year, to design and manufacture high-end stationery.
Following the Motioncutter buy the business started its new Cutture laser bureau, a trade laser cutting service that will be its primary focus at PrintWeekLive!, which is taking place at the Wasps Arena, Coventry, on 8-9 March 2017.
On its stand the firm will showcase some of the trade laser cutting projects it has recently completed, such as magazine covers and packaging.
“We would like to have a film running on our stand as well, just to show the Motioncutter running,” said Sharland.
“We will also display examples of some of our bespoke work because that could be interesting for any of the buyers that come through.”
She added the Motioncutter has enabled Cutture, which produces work for event planners, corporate clients, printers and designers, to branch out into retail.
“We’ve been manufacturing retail products without having to take massive overheads of stock and without farming it out, which was key for us. Manufacturing in-house allows us to keep the quality high.”
Cutture is headquartered in London, where it has a design studio and a workshop. Last year it opened a 250sqm Bedfordshire facility, which houses the Motioncutter.
