The theme of the 2013 event will be ‘Joined-up thinking – the power of multi-channel marketing' and event owner Informa Print and Media Group said it would provide a platform for marketers, printers and publishers to learn how to boost return on investment through improved cross media campaigns.
Cross Media 2013 event director Nick Craig Waller that the event would build on the success of last year’s inaugural event which saw 2,526 visitors through the doors of the Islington venue over two days. The 2012 show was boosted by Informa's acquisition in July of rival show MediaPro although at the time Waller told PrintWeek that he expected the full benefit to be felt at the 2013 event.
According to a survey of attendees 59% of delegates at the 2012 event were brand owners or agencies while print and marketing service providers made up 28% and publishers 13%. Key areas of interest recorded by show-goers included digital marketing (34%), social media (27%) and cross media (24%).
Waller said: "Marketing communications is a competitive industry which continually sees platforms multiply and evolve.
"It is therefore important for marketers, brands, agencies, designers and print service providers to ensure they are up to date with the latest solutions available to execute and measure successful multi-channel campaigns, which have proven to increase response rates."
