The 15-staff business has been an Arizona customer since 2007 when it purchased of a 250 GT before taking delivery of a 350 GT model two years later.
According to Steve Phythian, managing director of CPS, a steady stream of new business informed the decision to invest in an additional Arizona machine.
He said: "The digital side, in particular, is progressing really well. This is an extremely important future for the industry."
Andrew Bruce, head of printing at CPS, said: "People know our reputation for fine art finished products. We do a lot of museum work, which stipulates extremely high quality printing, and now more and more of our work is being printed on the Océ Arizona, which has a fantastic print quality and is super fast."
Production times on a raft of jobs have been cut thanks to the new investment. A job that involved printing 42 8x4ft panels took a single day when it would previously have taken four on the 250 model.
Bruce added quality had also improved with the addition of the 550GT with really fine detail achieved and 6pt text read easily.
He said: "One of the additional benefits is that we now can do white ink on the machine.
"The registration between the colour and the white is exceptional, which was the case when we did full-size colour proofs for Dulux on the Arizona."
