Castle Colour Printers faces liquidation at creditors' meeting

Yorkshire printer Castle Colour Printers is expected to go into liquidation next week.

A meeting of creditors has been announced for 8 February 2011, at which a liquidator is expected to be appointed.

The company, which is also referred to as Castle Print on its website, is no longer answering its phone.

Insolvency practitioners Gareth Rusling and John Russell of P&A Partnership will be present at the press conference, although they have not been appointed as liquidators to the Richmond, North Yorkshire-based business, whose director is John Hutchinson.

The reason for Castle Colour Printers' closure is currently unclear and P&A Partnership was not available for comment at this time.

According to the company's website, Castle Colour Printers was established in 1970. It offered commercial print and stationery products as well as design services. It has three Heidelberg presses, a five-colour, two-colour and a one-colour.

The firm also owns an array of finishing equipment including a Horizon stitchliner and a Polar 72 guillotine.

Castle Colour Printers is unconnected to Castle Colour Press in Norwich and Castle Print and Design in Newbury.
