Caslon creates card-cutting kit

Finishing equipment manufacturer Caslon has launched two machines in the Zip Card Cutter range.

The Zip21C has been designed for high-street copy shops, in-plant printrooms and commercial printers. It produces business cards and other multiple-up products.

It is based on the successful Zip21, and it can handle stock up to 350gsm with runs of 17,280 cards per hour. It can also score and perforate and allows products such as 24-up business cards to be processed in a single pass.

The Zip10M can handle weights up to 400gsm, while card length can be varied. It allows a scissor cut or a variable-size gutter to be removed between individual cards and additional cassettes.

It has eight fixed programs and two that are operator adjustable.
