The updated Zip 21 is now capable of producing 24 85x55mm cards in a single pass. Previously, as the name suggests, it was able to produce 21.
The cutter has been designed for the short- to medium-run print market and can take sheets up to SRA3 format.
Caslon said the machine could cut business cards, and other multiple products produced from a range of different printing methods, at around 10,000 cards per hour.
Also on display at the show will be the Zip 3 and Zip 5 machines, which were launched at Drupa but have yet to make a UK appearance.
Richard Caslon, managing director of the company which his family started more than 300 years ago, said: "There has been a significant rise in interest in our range of products.
"In the present market, where specialist finishing, especially for digital print, is becoming the added value option to ensure profit, we are developing products for a variety of applications including foiling, embossing, thermography and slitting."
The MiniZip, Zip10 and AutoPro12 will complete the St Albans-based company's offering.
Caslon added: "The Caslon team enjoyed an amazing Drupa 2008 and we are looking forward to exhibiting our latest products at Total Print! Expo where we will demonstrate cost-effective finishing options to enable print finishing businesses to enjoy success and add value for their customers."
Total Print! Expo is being held at Earls Court 2, London, from 14-16 October. To find out more, and to register for the free advice seminars being held during the show, visit the TPE forum on printweek.com.
