The theme of excellence runs throughout the categories which support the business behind print. Categories vary from health and safety, environment, global business to categories that celebrate the key people who have given so much to the industry or are currently working in the sector, such as the lifetime achievement and entrepreneur awards.
Now in its third year the Excellence Awards 09 provides the opportunity for a company to measure its performance against peers and competitors. Alison Carter, editor of Printing World said: "In these challenging times when it is even more important for print customers to see suppliers as secure, forward-thinking businesses, this is a very worthwhile promotional exercise which demonstrates that commitment to clients, staff and suppliers." BPIF finance director Michael Gardner said: “We are pleased to support the industry during these difficult times and look forward to meeting many of the key personnel in the sector on 1 July."
Past winners have been quick to support this year’s awards. John Carter, group managing director at Stralfors, winner of the Excellence Awards UK environment category award, said: "I cannot not think of a better way of demonstrating commitment to excellence to clients."
Double Excellence Award winner last year, Tony Jones, Pensord chief executive, confirms that an Excellence Award "can give you that edge over the competition".
A company does not have to be a member of the BPIF or a Printing World subscriber to enter.
The Excellence Awards will take place on Wednesday, 1 July in the Ballroom at the London Hilton. The dress code is black tie and admittance is ticket only.
