The appointments were proposed and approved at a council meeting held at the end of August. Nigel Stubley, who has been on the board since 2012, has decided to step down.
Jacky Sidebottom-Every has played a key role in the growth of cartonboard packaging products manufacturer Glossop Cartons since it was established in 1982.
She has helped to increase the firm’s turnover and profits by spearheading investment into new machines and processes. She also raises wider awareness of the creativity and innovations in the packaging industry.
James Buffoni has helped to transform the Rydeale Group from a manufacturing to a market-driven business over the past 12 years. The firm’s horticultural marketing and plant label manufacturing division Hortipak has now become the UK market leader.
Ian Wilton has worked in the printing industry for nearly 30 years, starting out as a print minder in both web and sheetfed companies.
He progressed to hold pre-press, print, bindery supervisor and shift manager roles at BGP before becoming operations director at Oxuniprint in 2008, which led to him being presented with the BPIF Personal Improvement Award.
BPIF chief executive Charles Jarrold said: “These individuals bring a range of experiences to the board including cartons experience, diversified print and marketing services, and in-plant, covering a range of company sizes, and reflecting the geographical spread and diversity of our membership.”
All three new board members have held positions on BPIF regional boards and helped to support the development of the BPIF by representing members' views in each region.
“It’s their energy and commitments, as well as their specific experience, that identified them to us as individuals who might be prepared to commit to our board,” said Jarrold.
