The Spectropad is a wireless, battery-powered device that works independently from a computer and so can be used directly on a printer.
"Our clients have been demanding a mobile, flexible device and we can now provide them with exactly that," said Wolfgang Passler, Barbieri marketing and sales manager.
It is the first of Barbieri’s products to feature the company’s new "qb technology", which is based on a combination of D50 illumination and a high precision spectral core. This enables the Spectropad to meet the M1 measurement for ISO 13655.
"Meeting the ISO standards is crucial as they will increasingly play a more important part in wide-format digital printing," explained Passler.
A large measurement aperture means the device can measure a wide range of reflective media, including PVC, canvas and textiles.
