The new unit, which will be showcased alongside an Opal rotary die-cutting converter, enables label converters to slit and rewind at the end of the printing process in a one-pass production operation that requires only one operator.
Other models that will be displayed from the Opal range include the Label Inspection Slitter Rewind machine.
The company will also be demonstrating its Sapphire S2 dedicated secondary slitter rewind machine and its Diamond model, which features an integral unwind stand that enables converters to slit and rewind multiple substrates at high speeds.
Ashe Converting Equipment’s sales manager Simon Goldbold said: "The new Opal three-spindle rewinder unit, which we are launching at Drupa, is mainly dedicated to label printing industry and has a unique turret design.
"We have revamped the concept to allow for operator-friendly production, which enables minimal set up from job to job. The concept of alteration is kept to a minimum, which means the machine will spend a lot more time in production rather than downtime.
"The new unit is also available with adaptations to suit our Sapphire and Diamond ranges," he added.
The price for the three-spindle rewind unit will start at around £30,000.
