The Sheffield-based business has installed the new machine, which complements an existing Indigo 3050 model, to remove bottlenecks in its digital production.
David Allsopp, director, at ASAP Digital, said: "Digital printing is the future and in times of austerity and with growing environmental awareness has many benefits, such as being able to order only what you need, when you need it, and therefore limiting waste.
Its new investment comes shortly after the nine-staff company relocated to larger 353sqm premises, which gives the business space to expand in the future.
"As our name suggests, our company delivers innovative printed products on time, or even faster where possible - our Indigo presses help us to achieve this."
ASAP Digital was established in 2005 and serves a range of clients that include design agencies and commercial businesses.
In addition to its brace of Indigo presses, it also operates in-house Morgana finishing and wide-format kit such as an Epson Stylus Pro 9700.
According to Allsopp, the new Indigo will enable the company to further expand its reach thanks to its increased digital firepower.
"We expect the new Indigo press 5500, especially with the white ink and the thick substrate kit options, will enable us to target more business in the future that we simply could not have serviced before," he said.
