The 63-year-old joined Archant in 1961 as an apprentice, a post he held for six years. He went on to become a ‘stone hand', which Webber said was "what the people used to be called when all the pages were made manually".
He added: "I've had various jobs at the Star and Anglian, from when the papers were based in Carr Street to the current site.
"I'll miss the company, but I think out of everything I will miss the banter between the staff the most."
Archant employees honoured Webber's long-standing service to the company with a presentation.
Evening Star editor Nigel Pickover said: "Brynnie has been one of our company's great assets for almost half a century and we will miss him greatly."
