Apprentice contestants get lesson in mag production

FMG, the north London-based pre-media business and content production agency, will appear in this week's edition of hit BBC show The Apprentice.

Lord Alan Sugar's band of wannabe apprentices spent time with FMG's staff recently to learn how to produce a glossy magazine for the not-yet-aired episode, in which they are tasked with creating and publishing a free magazine.

While one team opts to produce a low-brow lads' mag the other mulls over names for their over-60s freemium magazine including, Old Boot and Coffin Dodger.

Unfazed by the obvious commercial prowess of the assembled competitors, FMG operations director Steve Waller said: "It was great sharing knowledge and experience with a group so desperate to impress."

The episode will air at 9pm tomorrow night (Wednesday) on BBC One and will be available on the BBC iPlayer.
