Antalis updates environmental guide for paper

Paper merchant Antalis has produced a new copy of its environment brochure, the Antalis Environmental Policy, which outlines details of paper's environmental impact and how it can be managed.

In addition, a Paper Cycle leaflet has also been produced which illustrates to the customers the five steps in a paper's supply chain.

Antalis' environmental manager Matthew Botfield has produced the brochures, which he said outlines the merchant's commitment to the environment through benchmarks such as EMAS and ISO 14001.

He said: "These two brochures give our customers a comprehensive guide to our environmental stance and demonstrate our commitment to the environment."

Botfield said that unlike many of the documents out there that "greenwash" the company or product, the brochure is put together in a simple way, and is a "functional, useful tool".

He said: "At Antalis, we select only the very best paper mills, and we never buy paper products from protected forests."
