In addition, four prestigious institutes such as the Government Institute of Printing Technology, Bosco Society for Printing & Graphics Training, Indian Institute of Packaging and Dhirubhai Mistry Institute have submitted entries for Student of the Year.
Awards continue to pour into the PrintWeek India office, even though the closing date was 30 June. Due to a request from the print community, PrintWeek India has extended the entry deadline of the print industry’s premier awards by 18 days. Bharat Vermani, publishing manager for PrintWeek India states: "This will ensure many more printers have a chance to win the award".
This year, for the first time, Haymarket India has decided to host the PrintWeek India Awards which will judge printers in the 21 quality categories, to be judged on standard and innovation of jobs.
Jim James, publisher, PrintWeek India and director, Haymarket Media India said, "We have been running the PrintWeek Awards in the UK and in Germany for a number of years. Now that PrintWeek, which was launched last year in India, is established, it was a natural progression to take the opportunity to celebrate and reward the print industry and excellence in the print industry in India."
The awards will be presented in front of the great and the good of the industry at a glittering ceremony during South Asia Ipex in Mumbai.
The deadline for entries is 18 July, so don't miss out on your chance of winning one (or maybe more) of the 21 awards on print’s night of nights on 25 October.
