PrintWeek Awards tonight, very excited. After all, what's not to like about a room full of fabulous print people in their finery?

Naturally I am biased but from where I sit it really is a joy-replenishing event on the calendar. A chance to pause and remind ourselves what great work printers up and down the country are producing here in the UK, and to give praise and plaudits to companies large and small that are making a real success of things in a challenging and fast-changing world. I defy anyone with an interest in this industry not to find something that could inspire an idea for their own business, or their next print project, from among the shortlisted entries.

It's also a great night for catching up with old friends and hopefully making a few new ones too. Here's hoping the food is edible, the entertainment is entertaining, and the winners are tickled pink. Or should that be Pantone 239C...
