Notices of intention to appoint administrators at Cestrian and its sister company Gardners had been filed earlier this month.
Service Graphics is part of the acquisitive Grenadier Holdings group of companies, formerly Paragon Group. The overall group has sales of around €1.6bn (£1.4bn).
In a statement, Service Graphics said it would be taking on the entire Cestrian team and all of the firm’s manufacturing capabilities to ensure business continuity while also retaining the firm’s expertise.
Cestrian Imaging is located in Cheadle Hulme, to the south of Stockport. It specialises in large-format work for retail, events and outdoor. PFI acquired the business just over two years ago.
Service Graphics said it would also “ensure clients of Gardners in Cardiff continue to receive the service and delivery historically expected from the business.”
Service Graphics group managing director Mike Holyoake said he was excited to welcome Cestrian Imaging into the Service Graphics family.
“This acquisition is a testament to our commitment to providing exceptional visual communications solutions. Clients can expect business as usual, with the added strength and capabilities resulting from this strategic collaboration. We are dedicated to ensuring a seamless transition and maintaining the high standards of service that define both Service Graphics and Cestrian.”
The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Rymack Sign Solutions, which trades as PFI Group, has not commented on the latest aspects of the ongoing “restructure” that has seen a number of its operations shuttered.
Cestrian employed 41 staff in its most recent accounts, which were filed as audit exemption subsidiary accounts for the period from 1 April to 31 December 2021.
