The changes at the £29m-turnover group involve legal services and document management business Anexsys becoming a separate entity to Hobs Reprographics (which trades as Hobs Repro), and its subsidiary Hobs 3D, “reflecting the distinct operational focuses of the two groups,” according to a statement from majority shareholder BGF.
Hobs Reprographics PLC has been re-registered at Companies House as a private limited company.
Rob Crowley, the managing director of Anexsys, and Craig Horwood, managing director of Hobs Reprographics, remain in their roles “ensuring continuity of service to all customers”.
BGF said that chief executive James Duckenfield had “transitioned to non-executive director to sit on the board of both companies”.
Peter Bertram remains as chairman.
Duckenfield was on holiday and unavailable for comment at the time of writing.
He joined the business at the end of 2016 with ambitions to double sales by 2020.
Hobs has made a number of acquisitions since, most recently the Canon 3D printing business and the trade and assets of Callprint.
