Former HP director Nancy Janes is back in print with a new role at a paper manufacturer.

Janes worked at HP for more than 18 years and became global publishing and brand solutions development director.

After leaving HP in May 2021 she took a career break.

Janes took up her new role as UK and Ireland managing director for Hahnemühle on 1 March.

Posting her news on LinkedIn, Janes said: “Hahnemühle is a company with a long history and ambitious plans which I am delighted to be given the opportunity to be part of.

“Hahnemühle’s vision, passion for customers, innovative products and sustainability mindset, are what attract me to the company, along with the ‘can do’ team spirit.”

Hahnemühle has been making paper in Germany since 1584.

The firm makes papers for digital fine art, for artists, and for stationery.

It also makes specialist papers used for filtration.

Janes said the firm’s complex product mix “results in a diverse set of customer needs and customers, which include artists, technicians and scientists”.

She also said that all of the firm’s papers are vegan and described sustainability as “a living tradition at Hahnemühle”.

The company aims to become the first climate-neutral paper mill by 2030.
