The milestone system has been installed at FlexOn in the Czech Republic, where it is retrofitted to the first Gallus Labelfire in that country.
To mark the install, each of the 35cm-wide GD3 lampheads has been anodised with a special gold finish on the front, with the lettering 'system number S20000'.
Crawley-headquartered GEW recently celebrated its 30th anniversary.
Marcus Greenbrook, GEW director of international sales, described the landmark installation as “another momentous occasion in GEW’s history and development”, and said the firm’s remote commissioning and online monitoring services had been a boon during the Covid-19 situation.
“Despite challenging global restrictions created by the coronavirus pandemic, we have been able to continue both OEM and retrofit installations successfully with the flexibility and technical support of our distributors and business partners, worldwide,” he said.
