The agreement, effective as of 1 July, covers GSE’s Colorsat ink dispensing systems for accurate and instant preparation of printing colours, and its Ink manager management software suite of programs.
Headquartered in Guiseley, West Yorkshire, CyanX will provide sales and after-sales service to GSE’s label and packaging customers and decor converters.
The company’s team of factory-trained technicians will provide installation, on-site service, training, and valve revision services. Its service department also runs a 24/7 telephone support helpline.
GSE said its Colorsat ink dispensers prepare accurate spot colours and expanded gamut inks in exact quantities, helping packaging and label printers assure consistent brand colour quality while reducing waste, ink consumption, and setup times.
Designed for flexo, gravure, and screen inks, Colorsat ink dispensers are available for label, flexible packaging, corrugated, and decor applications.
GSE Ink manager software programs automate and simplify ink handling and colour processing steps including purchasing, inventory management, tracking and tracing, colour formulations, and calculating leftover inks into new jobs.
GSE said a key part of its software offering is its traceability program for tracing inks used on print runs to customer orders. This helps food and pharmaceutical packaging suppliers provide proof of compliance in accordance with strict safety standards, such as the Global Food Safety Initiative.
Established in 2005, CyanX supplies the printing industry with equipment and consumables parts, with a product portfolio including brands such as Hönle, Eltosch Grafix, and Betz Flow among others.
Anne Lourens, managing director at GSE, said: “CyanX has a proven record in representing international manufacturing brands to the print industry, thanks to their technical expertise, fast response time and extensive sales network.
“Our partnership gives UK and Ireland packaging and decor printers easier access to sustainable, efficient ink handling technologies that address the industry’s urgent need for quality assurance, automation and reductions in carbon footprint.”
CyanX managing director Richard Mawson added: “Automating ink handling and colour processing tasks with dispensing and software is essential for competitiveness in package printing, as it meets the need for reproducible quality, proof of compliance with safety legislation and waste reduction.
“GSE’s dispensing systems stand out for their precision build and reliability, with many systems performing after decades of operation. At CyanX, we’ll be assuring GSE’s customers the support to get the best value out of their investment.”
