The BlueCrest EvoluJet Printing System is a colour cut-sheet inkjet printer targeted at the entry high-volume production segment. It is optimised for transactional mail and marketing mail applications for customers with monthly print volumes in the range of 250,000 to over 1 million.
BlueCrest said the machine would be suitable for businesses that use monochrome or colour toner printing technology and could benefit from moving to high quality, more cost-effective inkjet.
Guido Rietti, BlueCrest vice president for the UK and Ireland, said: “This is a solution that is perfectly positioned to provide cost-effective high-quality inkjet printing to operations in the transactional and transpromo market space.
“Our clients look to BlueCrest as a trusted ‘one stop shop’ for their entire production mail workflow. With the addition of the EvoluJet we are able to fill a key gap in our product portfolio and offer a very competitive opportunity to upgrade or replace toner printers.
“Equally, EvoluJet adds a very high-quality platform for reprints or shorter print runs on the production floor, delivering flexibility and releasing capacity and availability of higher speed systems.”
BlueCrest’s sales, marketing and service for the machine will all start immediately. The company told Printweek that UK buyers would now get “the benefit of single source technical support and service across both inkjet printing and mail inserting equipment”.
It added pricing for the EvoluJet was between £150,000 to £250,000, depending on configuration.
Kyocera UK head of production printing Chris Matthews said the manufacturer was “looking forward to a strong and successful relationship” with BlueCrest.
He told Printweek: “BlueCrest are very embedded in the type of accounts that suit the product very well so it made sense to kick off the partnership.
“They’ve got a network of engineers that are often 24/7 in some of the larger transactional businesses or mailing houses across the country. They’ve got that trust, and they’re embedded into some of those larger organisations, and we will obviously support them.”
The original Kyocera TASKalfa Pro 15000c is available in the UK from a number of accredited print production partners, Matthews added.
