OKI has launched its colour proofing solution, the C9650XF, a high-performing oversize A3 colour printer that can produce up to 19 colour A3 pages per minute and 21 mono A3 pages. In A4, this increases to 36 colour pages and 40 mono pages per minute. All paper trays can handle oversize A3 with the multipurpose tray supporting media of up to 330gsm.
“The launch of the C9650XF further strengthens OKI’s presence in the proofing and short-run digital print markets. The unit is a fully-functional digital print solution that will address the requirements of printers that need to provide high quality content and layout proofs on oversize A3 media,” said Alan McLeish, senior product marketing manager for OKI Printing Solutions.
The C9650XF is configured to work with EFI’s Colorproof XF software to offer colour management, which allows operators to work faster and save costs in producing proofs and short-run jobs.
The package comprises a cross-platform EFI Colorproof XF Server, Client Option and Printer Module specifically developed for the C9650. With extra output and product options, the firm hopes the solution can grow to meet the businesses needs of digital, commercial and hybrid printers, pre-press providers, publishers, creative agencies and photographers.
The C9650XF is distributed exclusively through Colourgen, a distributor of digital wide-format colour printing solutions.
