The natural rustic looking product, which is available with immediate effect, is tailor-made for both natural and vegan food packaging products, according to Warren.
The product, which is manufactured at Mayr-Melnhof Karton’s Eerbeek mill in the Netherlands, has a matt top with a "tactile roughness".
Aimed at brand owners and converters, it is based on the standard quality Accurate and is suitable for direct food contact on both the top and reverse, making it suitable for applications in this sector. The product is also available with a freeze treatment application, which makes it suitable for chilled and frozen foods.
The coating enables fast ink absorption, which allows more sheets per hour to be printed with the potential for cost savings in terms of printing ink. The special surface preparation means there is no printing ink set-off.
Warren external sales manager UK & Ireland Phil Northam said: “Consistency of product is always high on the requirement list from our customers. Accurate Top Natural is fully guaranteed for printing which gives our customers the confidence to produce a more rustic, natural looking carton without incurring slower press times and additional ink usage.”
The product is currently available from mill production (minimum order one tonne) but Warren said it will likely be available in quantities from 200 sheets up once it is established.
ISO 14001-certified company Warren has 43 staff and sales in excess of 30,000 tonnes per annum with a turnover of £25m.
It runs from a 3,902sqm converting facility in West Bromwich and five units in Glenfield, Leicestershire covering a total area of 10,684sqm. Its customers include paper merchants, commercial and general printers and carton convertors throughout the UK and Europe.
Earlier this year the business, which moved into paper distribution for the first time in 2014, significantly expanded its paper products range to meet increased demand.
