Combined ranges include offset and intaglio inks for currency printing and the exhibition runs from 21 to 23 March at the Convention Centre, Dublin (CCD).
Sun Chemical business director for security inks Stefaan D'Hoore said: “This is the ideal place to showcase our security inks and coatings.
“The security printing market is growing at 3% to 4% per year, meanwhile banknotes in circulation are still increasing globally.
“There is also a surge in demand for tax stamps as global and European track-and-trace mandates are being implemented and governments launch new tax excise programs.”
He added: “The recent acquisition of Luminescence demonstrates our commitment to become a leading ink supplier in this industry and we will continue to invest in new technology.”
Sun Chemical took over the maker of currency, tax stamp, passports, ID cards, secure documents and brand protection inks early last month.
Ranges include Sun Chemical's SunNote, which protects the movement of banknotes within the cash cycle, and SunNote Sculpt based on waterwipe intaglio technology from Luminescence.
Luminescence will highlight new features for security stitching threads for binding passports and show its Fire & Ice ink that interacts with UV fluorescent designs on documents.
Also on show will be products from C.T.LAY, another company recently acquired by Sun Chemical and a specialist in pre-laid overlays and pre-patched holograms.
D'Hoore said it was his company's fifth visit to Security Printers, but the first jointly with Luminescence.
“As a result of our investments, Sun Chemical can now offer one of the broadest and most technologically advanced product portfolios for security printing and brand protection,” he said.
Other highlights from Sun Chemical will be its Verigard brand-protection, machine-readable inks and varnishes and a prototype handheld reader for fast product authentication.
Meanwhile SunCarte inks for all print processes are used in the manufacture of security documents, polycarbonate laminated ID cards and laminated credit and banking cards.
The range features screen and offset inks, varnishes and adhesives and can be complemented by overt and covert security features to meet the demands of security printers.
