One of the innovations on show will be ExpeJet, a fully automated printing and inserting system that combines Riso’s ComColor GL9730 inkjet printer with Pitney Bowes’ new Sirius production inserter.
Riso said this system would automate the entire process, delivering a production speed of up to 10,000 folds per hour.
The manufacturer will also present a new model of ExpeJet that integrates its Valezus T2200 high-speed inkjet printer, designed for high-volume production environments.
It said this would streamline workflows and optimise production efficiency, making it suitable for mailroom and transactional printing applications.
Riso will also introduce a new bookletmaking system that combines the Valezus T1200 with the Plockmatic PL450 bookletmaker. This compact setup enables the production of high-quality booklets with a streamlined, all-in-one system that handles stapling, folding, and spine forming.
Capable of processing up to 50 sheets (200 pages), this system is suitable for short-run, quick-turn projects that require frequent content updates. With the addition of corner and dual-edge stapling options, Riso said this setup would provide versatile capabilities to handle a range of print jobs with ease.
Tatsuo Murakami, managing director of Riso UK, said: “We’re excited to unveil these solutions at Hunkeler Innovationdays 2025. The ExpeJet and Valezus systems represent the next step in high-speed, high-quality print production.
“By integrating advanced inkjet technology with innovative post-processing solutions, we’re delivering productivity-boosting systems that meet the demands of the evolving print industry.
“Whether you’re handling large-scale transactional printing or producing booklets with quick turnaround times, Riso’s solutions are built to offer exceptional reliability and performance in any production environment.”
Hunkeler Innovationdays will run from 24-27 February 2025 at Messe Lucerne in Switzerland.
