The 64in (1.6m-wide) device, which is said to offer entry-level, environmentally aware printing, uses OKI’s high-pigment eco-solvent SX ink and supports the optimum level of colour at all print speeds for both indoor and outdoor applications.
It can handle substrates including back-/front-lit media, technical textile, wallpaper, canvas, hard PVC, banner and vinyl.
The maximum speed is 22.9sqm/hr sellable quality on banner and 15sqm/hr at high quality on vinyl while the maximum resolution is 1,080dpi.
OKI Europe senior product manager for large-format printers Frank Jänschke said: “Customers are looking for more than printing on only vinyl and banner, because margins for those products are low.
“We want to show our customers that we are a brand that has a good history and good products with which they can do a lot of things, from indoor to outdoor.”
The E-64s is commercially available immediately.
