First unveiled earlier this year, Mimaki Europe product manager Mark Sollman said the machines are based on “cross-platform technology [and] specially made and dedicated to combine techniques”.
They feature in-built cleaning mechanisms and monitoring features to ensure “seamless production” and allow for longer running times. Both models also feature a newly designed unwinding system that allows three different rolls of media to be loaded simultaneously.
Another standard feature is an XY slitter, a highly precise cutting technology that provides in-line X-axis and Y-axis sheetfed cutting. This eliminates the unwinding and rough cutting from the workflow, helping users to speed up and streamline the post-process.
The business has also launched a new pure clear material, MH-110PCL, for its UV curable, full colour 3D printer, the 3DUJ-553. Available in a 4.8L ink bottle size, the new material improves upon Mimaki’s previous 3D clear ink, MH-100CL, with increased transparency and negates any yellow tint.
The new products are available immediately.
