The Japanese-owned company, which has UK facilities in Maidenhead, has designed RePop as a lighter and lower-cost option than its premium 100-micron sister substrate, which was launched at Fespa 2013 in London.
Aimed at the POS and retail markets RePop is a repositionable, non-PVC 'dry' adhesive, 50-micron polyester film, designed to replace traditional 'cling' PVC window film.
"The problem with those is that they don't have particularly good see-through vision, they can shrink and curl in heat and they are loaded with plasticiser. But our film addresses all those issues because, being polyester-based it has perfect dimensional stability and has absolutely no environmental nasties in it," said Lintec Graphic Films managing director, Andy Voss.
"The idea of this film is that if a retailer wants to do a window promotion they can literally receive it in a tube and anyone can apply it because it's so easy to put up," said Voss.
RePop is available in clear and white and is suitable for screen and UV inkjet printing.
Lintec will also display its UV printable E-2200ZC and eco-solvent printable E-1000ZC films at Fespa Digital 2014.
The films, which need to be applied wet by a specialist installer, are also designed for uses such as retail window displays, POS displays and partitions but are for longer-term applications.
"Because of our R&D, our range of PVC-free media is a market leader for corporate branding, privacy, decoration and advertising," said Voss.
"Our pioneering technologies provide customers with a powerful product by which to differentiate their service offering,” he added.
