Konica Minolta has enhanced its monochrome portfolio of digital printers with the new AccurioPress 7136 series.

The series consists of three models: AccurioPress 7136, AccurioPress 7136P, and AccurioPress 7120. Each is said to enhance job capacity, reliability, and flexibility while enabling users to broaden their application possibilities.

They also offer improved automation and greater production flexibility with A3 and other varied types of paper.

The machines have replaced the existing AccurioPress 6136 series and share the same market positioning as those devices did.

Konica Minolta said they have been developed to help commercial printers, print-for-pay services, and central in-house printing facilities expand their businesses and improve their operational efficiency.

Malcolm Smith, category manager for Professional Print at Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK), said the new series is “focused on delivering high performance print quality, production speeds, and application versatility that responds to evermore demanding market needs”.

Like its predecessor, the AccurioPress 7136 series can produce a monthly peak volume of up to 3.24 million A4 pages.

High media flexibility and providing ultimate performance for the user is enabled by the intelligent paper catalogue and optional envelop fuser, Konica Minolta said, and suitable media types include coated and embossed paper from 40-350gsm.

“Input time is eliminated, and any errors are reduced by the optional IQ-501 Intelligent Quality Optimizer, which delivers automatic and real-time density and registration adjustment and creates printer profiles with skill-less operation. Curl adjustment is managed via the RU-518m Relay Unit,” the company stated.

“High quality output, even without skilled expertise, is supported by 220 pre-uploaded paper profiles which help reduce errors and improve print quality.

The series has achieved the Electronic Product Environmental Assessment Tool gold rating and has also cleared Typical Energy Consumption (TEC) values for version 3.2 of the international Energy Star Program “by a substantial margin”.

The manufacturer added that user friendly, scalable, and flexible print flow systems that automate and optimise a company’s entire print workflow are delivered by AccurioPro Flux, while AccurioPro Dashboard securely and accurately collects, aggregates, and analyses data.

Accounting, authentication, or scan routing such as YSoft Safe Q and Nuance eCopy Sharescan are also supported.

The AccurioPress 7136P is commercially available immediately while the AccurioPress 7136 will be available from the end of October, due to high demand, Konica Minolta told Printweek.
