"The Promotional Products industry is used to pad printing, which is suitable for longer runs but increasingly with the availability of digital printing technology we’re getting asked about producing much shorter runs too," said Kaye-Dee marking Solutions marketing manager Julie Parkin.
She added that the availability of digital printers was also opening up the promotional products market to new players too.
Taking centre stage at the show will be the 420x300mm bed sized Bergstein BE300 LED printer. The machine can handle objects up to 300mm deep, offering a wide range of product decoration options.
"The deeper loading height enables extended product loading, which means users can take on more industrial applications such as soap dispensers, bottles and other deep objects in a range of materials including ceramics, glass, wood and plastic," said Parkin.
The BE300 is a LED UV-cured machine. Pricing ranges from £25,000-£33,000.
Bergstein itself will be showing its industrial printer line up including the BE-HS-1 conveyor belt system and BE-TS-1 tray-based unit, both of which can print at up to 40cm per second.
Kaye-Dee will also be showing Teca-Print pad printing machines. It is the first time the firm has exhibited at Fespa. This year’s event is the first in which Fespa has run The Promotional Product Business Academy at the show.
