Xtrans enables users to create high-quality heat transfer labels for bags and apparel in-house at what the firm said is a fraction of the cost of other transfer creation methods.
The US manufacturer said the machine, which costs around €58,900 and features two UV LED curing systems, makes it easy to produce short-run or long-run digital transfer jobs while still offering variable data and imaging per cycle.
The device has a maximum print area of 508x610mm and a maximum resolution of 1,200dpi. It prints in CMYK plus white and also has an adhesion promoter.
Inkcups president Benjamin Adner said: “A lot of people outsource their labels so this is a cost-effective option that allows them to bring it in-house. So they don’t have to wait four or five days for delivery and this allows them to meet their customers’ demands.”
The company is also detailing the benefits of its new Helix high-speed digital inkjet printer for cylinders, by showing a demonstration video of the machine on its stand.
The Helix, which costs around €163,000 can print on straight-walled or tapered cylinders of various sizes and is said to be suitable for applications including drinkware, cosmetic and industrial products.
It is designed to be fast and flexible and is suitable for short-run and high-volume production qualities.
“The Helix is a short-run quick changeover machine, which is fast at four per minute. It’s designed to do runs of around 500 to 1,000 or even personalisation,” said Adner.
The machine prints in CMYK plus white and has a maximum resolution of 1,200dpi. Its print diameter range is 50.8-114.3mm while its cylinder length is 76.2-304.8mm. The standard maximum print length is 107.95mm.
